HeartlyCompanio LLC is a licensed non-medical home care agency in Central Ohio. We provide companionship, personal care, shower assistance, help with daily routines, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and transportation to appointments and activities.

Yes. HeartlyCompanio LLC is licensed as a non-medical home care agency in the State of Ohio and follows all state regulations for non-medical in-home services.

We primarily serve the Central Ohio region, including Franklin, Delaware, Licking, Fairfield, Pickaway, and Madison counties. If you are just outside this area, please contact us and we will discuss available options.

Non-medical home care focuses on daily living support — such as companionship, personal care, light housekeeping, meals, and transportation. Home health care is medical and must be provided by nurses or therapists under a doctor's order. We provide only non-medical home care.

Most often our clients are seniors, adults living alone, or people recovering after illness or surgery who need help with daily routines, safety, and companionship at home.

Caregivers can help with getting in and out of bed or chairs, dressing, bathing and shower assistance, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, medication reminders, short walks, companionship, and supervision for safety. They also provide emotional support, friendly conversation, simple games and activities, reading together, and support with social engagement, such as phone or video calls and participation in hobbies or family events.

Yes. We provide respectful and safe shower assistance and help with personal hygiene, including support before and after the shower, organizing towels and clothes, and ensuring the bathroom is safe and dry.

Yes. We can provide transportation for doctor's appointments, shopping, pharmacy visits, social activities, and other important errands, as long as it is safe and agreed in the care plan.

Yes. Our caregivers can remind clients to take medications on time and according to the schedule prepared by the family or medical provider. We do not change prescriptions or give medical advice.

Absolutely. Every family is different. We listen to your situation and build an individual care plan that can include morning and evening visits, shower assistance, companionship, transportation, and other non-medical support.

We usually work with planned visits of a fixed length (for example, morning and evening visits, or shower visits on specific days). Our minimum visit length is 2 hours, and we normally require at least 2 visits per week to provide consistent support and safety. Minimums can also depend on location and schedule, and we will explain all details clearly during the consultation.

Yes. We can provide care on weekends and some holidays by prior agreement. Holiday visits may have different rates, which we will discuss in advance.

We typically charge per visit or per agreed block of time (for example, a morning visit, evening visit, or shower visit). Before starting services, you will receive a written service agreement with all rates and conditions, including an estimated monthly cost based on your planned schedule. Payments can be made by direct deposit, Zelle, or check.

No long-term contract is required. We sign a service agreement that explains our conditions, but you can change or stop services with notice according to the agreement.

At this time, we do not participate in Medicaid, Medicare, or other insurance billing programs. We currently work on a private-pay basis. Some long-term care insurance policies may reimburse non-medical home care; if you have such a policy, we can provide detailed invoices and documentation so you can submit a claim directly to your insurer.

For regular home visits within our service area, basic travel to the client's home is included. We charge a standard gas fee of $20 per week to help cover ongoing travel costs; this amount may vary depending on the distance and driving time. If we provide additional trips with the client in our company car — especially longer-distance visits or multiple stops — transportation for those trips is calculated individually based on distance and time.

Our caregivers are compassionate, responsible individuals with experience in supporting seniors and adults at home. Many have prior caregiving, healthcare, or family care experience and receive ongoing guidance and training in non-medical home care.

Yes. We conduct background checks and review references in line with Ohio regulations and our internal standards to help ensure the safety and peace of mind of our clients and their families.

Whenever possible, we arrange an introductory visit or a first shift where a family member can be present. This helps everyone feel more comfortable and make sure the caregiver is a good fit.

Yes. A good personal match is very important. If you feel that a different caregiver would be better for your loved one, we will do our best to adjust the schedule and find another caregiver.

If a caregiver is sick or has an emergency, we will inform you as soon as possible. When we can, we will offer a replacement caregiver or reschedule the visit according to your preferences.

We can provide short written notes, texts, or verbal updates after visits, depending on what is most convenient for you. We encourage regular communication so families always know how their loved one is doing.

You can call us, send a message, or fill out a contact form on our website. We will talk with you about your situation, suggest options, and schedule a free initial consultation if you wish to move forward.

Yes. We offer a free, no-obligation consultation to discuss your needs, explain our services and pricing, and see whether we are a good fit for your family.

In many cases, we can start within a few days after the consultation and signing the service agreement. The exact start date depends on your schedule, location, and caregiver availability.
